Reporting bugs (or: the issuescraper bugzilla howto)

To track bugs, we are using special software, accesible via the web. This software is known under the name 'bugzilla' and is used by various large software projects, including for example mozilla. The software assigns a unique number to each bug, and allows users and developers to manipulate the information that is associated with each bug through their web browser.

Our Bugzilla can be found on http://bugzilla.issuescraper.net/, and is shared with the issuecrawler. When you go to that url, you'll see a simple menu that gives you the choice between searching the bug database, entering a new bug report, getting summaries of all bugs, loging in to the bugzilla or creating a new bugzilla account.

Open a new Bugzilla account

If you only want to search or browse the bug database, no login is required. If you want to enter a bug report however, you will need to have a valid login. Logins can be created by anyone, all we need is an email address to send your password to. To create a login, click on the 'Open a new Bugzilla account' link on the bugzilla main page.

Enter a new bug report

Entering a new bug report starts by selecting the product. You will be presented a choice between 'Issuecrawler' and 'Issuescraper'.
